500px STUDIO PROJECT MARRAKECH
When I was contacted by 500px Studio for a shoot in Marrakech I was excited and was not sure what to expect. I accepted the shoot before knowing the exact details, which admittedly, was a risk. However, working with 500px Studio has proven to be a great experience and I would do it all again!
What I loved about this Assignment was that everything moved quickly and easily. The quick turn around time was challenging but I embraced the tight deadline - it gave me energy to be more creative. I was able to explore the city of Marrakech in a way I hadn't before, looking through the alleys for bright colors and dynamic compositions. The weather was not on my side during the shoot but the shoot was a success and I appreciated and enjoyed the Assignment.
The best advice I can give to photographers is to always do what you love. When you are in a new country or city, take your time to explore it! Stay creative and try out new technical compositions. You don't have to follow the generic rules of composition - rules are made to be broken and it is at this point that creativity flows freely. It is essential to seek out new things and to never stop learning new techniques!
